Golfmohr Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in East Moline, Illinois.

The Golfmohr Golf Course first opened for play in 1963. The course was designed by Ted Locke.

The large gently undulating greens are expertly manicured as well as the 24 acres of fairways. The gently rolling terrain makes walking easy. Adding beauty and hazards to the course are four man made lakes, which provide some five acres of water on the course.

The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 612 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 154 yards from the back tees.

In 1867, the Mohr family established a farm on the present site of Golfmohr Golf Club. Descendants of the Mohr family still live on the properties adjacent to the golf course and the original homestead. For 98 years the Mohr family farmed the site that would eventually became “Golfmohr”.

In the early 1960's, Jake and Lorraine Mohr, were attempting to convert their property to other usage. Jake Mohr met Ted Lockie in 1963. Ted, a PGA golf professional and a golf course architect. Jake Mohr and Ted Lockie formed a partnership that combined the land owned by Jake and Lorraine Mohr with the design and construction expertise of Ted Lockie.

Golfmohr Golf Club was created in 1963 and in 1965 the 18 hole course located on 148 acre tract opened for business as a daily fee facility. Green fees were $2.00 and memberships were $90.00 per year. The course was designed by Ted Lockie.

Jake and Ted remained partners for seven years and both lived on the property. Jake and Lorraine lived in a new home next to the 10 th tee, next door to the old, original farmhouse next to the 12 th fairway. Ted and Alma Lockie lived in a home built behind the 8 th green. In 1972, Ted and Alma Lockie retired to Florida and sold their interest in Golfmohr to Jake and Lorraine Mohr.

In 1982, Jake and Lorraine Mohr sold the course to Quad Cities USA Golf Course Corporation. From 1982 to the present time, Golfmohr Golf Club has been owned and operated by this small corporation. Dennis Marker is the President of Quad Cities Golf Course Corporation. His wife Mary and son David serve on the Board of Directors along with retired Moline attorney, William Glendon.
